Either you are totally ignorant about the chain of command or you just once again (as usual) would rather twist what is said so that you can attack. Privates, sargeants, junior grade officers, company commanders, battalion commanders etc. do not report to the President of the United States nor do they make recommendations to him about what is needed in the way of weapons, manpower, or anything else. Only the area commanders make such recommendations (through the chain of command) and those officers have not requested additional troops.
