Unleash the hounds Not necessary- that period simply revealed the dark, ruthless, and megalomaniacal aspects of Harvey's personality- all qualities you want in the repertoire of a leader, even if it's ugly when portrayed in such blatant terms. At the time, I was most worried his corporate infractions would seriously undermine the development potential of the company. As it worked out, it was quit a distraction, probably caused some delays, but didn't take a critical toll. It was pretty much the icing on the cake of Ariad's "banana-republic-biotech" behavior, and I really had pretty much forgotten about it. But, for those that weren't around, it provides an object lesson that should effectively dislodge any "rose-colored glasses." I.E. As Doug says "know what you own...", and, as I might add, "know who you're dealing with." That episode, among others, helped clarify the issue.
