You may think that, but no box office news reporting site that I have seen would describe $5,000 per theater as "good." I realize this is all subjective, but I could find many examples of movies that opened significantly wider than AFIL that averaged somewhere around $5,000 per theater. None of those releases were described as good. (I don't feel like searching for specific examples, but moviesam posted several examples of this when discussing Turtles box office gross). I'm just being hopeful that us shareholders are witness to an opening weekend that would allow for the expansion of the film into other markets. To do this, we would need to see solid per theater numbers, and in my opinion that would mean at the very least $5,000 per theater, and even that may not cut it if the film is going to expand its theater count. People like to dismiss the opening weekend as inconsequential, but IMO it means everything. A good opening weekend generally allows for expansion, while a poor one pretty much shoots the idea of expansion out of the water.
