The head mod sets the standard for the board and I think that's where the concentration should be. The problem boards are where the head mod doesn't set a standard. With all mods being equal, there's no standard being set.

I can give you an example of a board where I don't believe the head mod has ever deleted a tos violation and the board has been a constant head ache for Admin.

I like the idea of being able to apply for an asst mod position, but if the board is a constant head ache, boot the head mod.
