Agreed, entirely. I was referring to Iraq II, and the media spectacle it became. We had live feed Shock and Awe, and plenty of war pundits talking cakewalk, rose petals, a self financing war (oil$$), WMD and Saddam as an imminent threat always immediately followed by a reference to 911. I found the whole spectacle to be grossly obscene knowing with each bomb life was lost. Yet Ashcroft, our self righteous AG, saw fit to shroud the breast of a statue. Go figure.
No, there is nothing "christian" about Iraq II. It is by no Christian standard a "justifiable war." Iraq II ranks along with certain other low points in American history. We can thank Bush for that, and we can thank ourselves. When we, as a collective people, failed to hold government appropriately accountable, we all became complicate in the Iraq fiasco, and it's mounting death toll.
