The Kenyans who received treatment that stopped taking their ARVs did so against their doctors' and Dr. Ichimura's recommendations. Further, Kenyans frequently stop taking their ARVs due to the inability afford them and due to the severe side effects. This is why HIV is such a problem there and why Kenya needs our treatment.
