"i wanted to hear him actually talk about wi-fi implementation in lue of the fact that the motion will be continous on a cruise ship is most situations, meaning the wireless protocall option(s) should be mentioned."

anyway, the continuous motion of the ship at sea is hardly a concern for diamondi. the ship provides the wi-fi access, and the effect of the motion at sea would be a matter of concern for the cruise ship alone. all that diamondi would have to include in the pda is a card to access it. again, it doesn't matter at all to diamondi that the ship is in constant motion. as long as the cruise ship is able to offer wi-fi without considerable problems, the wi-fi source will be stationary and providing access to most of the ship or the whole ship, as carnival's valor is now offering.

more to the point, why would someone care to hear loflin describe something like the following in the interview?

"To ensure that it could pull off the project, Carnival partnered with Cisco to install Cisco Aironet 1230G Series IEEE dual-band access points. The equipment, which features two radio modules to extend the range of coverage, is typically used in especially challenging sites such as factories, warehouses or structures with high ceilings. Cisco's Catalyst 6509 Series Switches and Catalyst 3750 Series Switches were used to connect to the network."

discussing wi-fi access at sea is getting way too far ahead ourselves as it is. diamondi has yet to develop a contractual relationship with a cruise line.

disregarding your spelling ability, pugdog, i still don't understand why you wanted loflin to talk about wi-fi implementation instead of ("in lue" of) the constant motion at sea.
