Daily trading averages in September of BRL6.25 billion were lower than August's BRL7.73 billion, BM&FBovespa said in a statement Thursday.

The most traded stocks on the Bovespa in September were Vale SA preferred shares (VALE5.BR), with BRL15.41 billion, Petroleo Brasileiro SA (PETR4.BR) with BRL7.72 billion, Itau Unibanco Holding SA (ITUB4.BR) with BRL6.55 billion, OGX Petroleo e Gas Participacoes SA (OGXP3.BR) with BRL5.88 billion and Vale SA ordinary shares (VALE3.BR) with BRL4.22 billion, the exchange operator said.
