If we were to speculate about the timeline, and compare it to the last process transition, there were reports (from Groo) that he has seen 90nm Opterons running at some show I believe it may have been either the last Comdex or the delayed Computex, and I seem to recall it was in late 2003.
The first 90 nm products were released about 3 quarters later. So if there is to be a similar delay, and the report (without a great deal of track record) that there are 65nm Opteron samples out, that would make end of Q1 seem like it may be within the realm of possibilities. A more credible info on 65nm Opteron samples would add credibility to that schedule, but we don't have it yet.
