Thanks everyone. I wish I had gotten better info on the company name. I was impressed by these guys' conversation. The hotel is in Vegas, (where I live) and tracking them down would be nearly impossible)
OK, keeping in mind that this is "hearsay information" this is what I gathered. (you may not like it, so sit down.) The impression of these obviously mechanically oriented gentlemen was the AT6 had an edge on the SuperT. They felt the history of the AT6 in the military would be a big edge. Also, they felt that spare parts would be a major issue for the SuperT, unless a good distributorship system were established in the US. quoting one of them "getting spares out of Brazil is almost impossible at times. It can take months to get the needed parts."
They felt the "all aluminum construction" of the AT6 was an edge also. (you guys will have to verify that. I thought the SuperT was all aluminum, but I guess maybe not)
Their concern was composite materials or complex alloys.
They also said they would probably be bidding on (domestically) the same type of stuff TDAF does.
I want to post this, my phone burped and deleted my last attempt. I'll tell you more as I digest what I heard.
If you have a particular question(s) I'll be glad to give you my impression of the conversation.
I just hang out here for the fun of it, that
doesn't mean I'm smart.
