They say it's not deep but rather 12,000' of lateral tunnel before they get to the major vein of gold??? What's wrong with this picture?
I wonder why they don't move across the surface that 2.3 miles, and then tunnel underground and tie in with the old tunnel?
It just seems like it would be safer and easier to build a 2 mile surface road to get to the sweet spot instead of travelling underground.
