Oscar-nominated Paperny Entertainment has been producing compelling non-fiction television for almost 20 years, ranging from groundbreaking documentaries to reality television series to lifestyle programming. Many Paperny programs feature successful social media components such as the "EAT ST." app, a popular guide to food trucks across North America. "We are fortunate to have built a strong production business in Canada and are very enthusiastic about opening our doors in the U.S." said President David Paperny. "Lynne's years of experience overseeing a wide range of non-fiction programming in the U.S. make her an ideal hire for us."

Kirby is a seasoned television executive who most recently ran original programming for Discovery Fit & Health and Planet Green and prior to that was Sr. Vice President Original Programming for Sundance Channel. Her primary role at Paperny Entertainment is to develop and oversee production of series for American broadcasters; she will also look to put together Canadian, U.S., and international co-productions.

"Paperny has a fantastic track record of making a variety of successful non-fiction programs for the Canadian and international markets. We want to translate those popular formats for American audiences, and generate new content for the U.S. market that can travel in turn to Canada and overseas." said Kirby. "Paperny's reputation as nimble and high quality producers makes this a very exciting opportunity for me."
