Acusensus talks global expansion and growth drivers

Acusensus Ltd Managing Director talked with Proactive at AIM's Small and Midcap Conference about the company’s progress in road safety technology, its global expansion, and the upcoming launch of a new product line aimed at road worker protection. Alex Jannink, Managing Director and Co-founder of Acusensus, explained how the company pioneered enforcement cameras targeting behaviours like mobile phone use and seatbelt compliance. “We supply these automated enforcement cameras...and we receive a fixed monthly fee essentially for those services,” he said, outlining the company's outsourced business model under long-term government contracts. While 93% of revenues currently come from Australia, Jannink confirmed growth is underway internationally, with active customers in the United States and United Kingdom. Acusensus has also secured a nationwide speed enforcement contract in New Zealand, expected to contribute significantly from the next financial year. Jannink highlighted the broader social mission behind the business: “The whole goal of the company is to change behaviours and to save lives.” He pointed to strong behavioural impacts from previous deployments, including a six-fold drop in mobile phone use and a 21% reduction in road fatalities in New South Wales. D'Enrico addressed common misconceptions about the sector, clarifying that it is not temporary or homeless accommodation, but instead provides long-term homes for adults with care needs. “A misconception as well is that specialised supported housing is a passive investment based on the long lease,” he explained, underlining the importance of resident occupancy and the operational real estate nature of the assets. Carey detailed the steps taken to resolve issues with Parasol and My Space Housing Solutions, including lease transfers to stronger providers, which are expected to improve rent collection. “We’ve collected 72% of the contracted amount so far with Westmoreland, and we’re confident we’ll meet our target,” he said. Markham reviewed the FY24 results, noting that while net tangible assets declined to £0.99 per share, rent collection stood at 93% and the company maintains strong debt metrics with an average maturity of 8.6 years and a 2.74% all-in cost. Cuscal FY25 update: profit grows on stable volumes

Cuscal Limited Managing Director Craig Kennedy talked with Proactive at AIM's Small and MIdcap conference about the company’s role in Australia's financial infrastructure and its recent financial performance for the first half of FY25. Kennedy explained that Cuscal is one of only five organisations in Australia with the full suite of licensing, infrastructure, and capabilities required to offer end-to-end payment services—alongside the four major banks. The company serves a range of clients including other banks, corporates, and fintechs, as well as working with NAB’s UBank division. Kennedy emphasised Cuscal’s position as a “neutral, independent” access point to payment infrastructure. On financial performance, Kennedy said Cuscal expects to “modestly exceed the forecast in the prospectus” issued at the time of its IPO in November. He noted that the business enjoys stable, predictable revenue and has completed significant investment in areas like real-time payments and operational upgrades. As a result, the company is beginning to see operational leverage. Kennedy stated: “Mid to high single digit volume growth will translate to low double digit profit growth.” He said H1 FY25 results showed 7% volume growth and between 12% to 13% profit growth. Gunnison Copper advances Johnson Camp Mine construction, on track for Cathode Production in Q3 2025

Gunnison Copper SVP- Operations Robert Winton joined Steve Darling from Proactive to provide an update on the ongoing construction progress at the fully permitted Johnson Camp Mine in southeast Arizona. Speaking with Proactive, Winton confirmed that construction activities are on schedule, with the company expecting to produce copper cathode by Q3 2025. Mining of mineralized material officially began in January 2025, and the extracted material is currently being stockpiled in preparation for the completion of the leach pad. The Phase-1 leach pad has been successfully completed, while Phase-2 is advancing rapidly. Once Phase-2 is in place, the company will begin installing Nuton’s advanced processing equipment, a key step toward optimizing sulfide and oxide mineralized material processing. Gunnison Copper has also completed the redesign and construction of a state-of-the-art laboratory for on-site material and process analysis. The lab is set to begin ramping up in April 2025 and will be fully commissioned once leach pad production is underway. Additionally, the company’s HR team is making significant strides in building a strong workforce, with an emphasis on local hiring.
