(edit) That is our logical upgrade path if staying on HP Superdome/ HP-UX although, once it gets approved, we should be trialling dual-core Opteron clusters on Linux but it's far too early to say where that will lead, they being originally bought to try out Oracle clustered features. I have basically advised to get a Montecito board on the test Superdome and bench against the Opterons and then do all the other TCO/migration sums.
