Yes the JV details must have been mind-boggling eh ... on both sides, pdg/Kennecott and aas/ngt ... well that's all just about over with now ... and actually, there may turn out to have been advantage in the wait, since the PoG is helping a little better than it was in the fall .... as long as little is being spent, the whole deal acts as a call option on gold, since it's pretty clear that things will happen before long, and the metal is certainly there
There is a lot that is seasonal in the relationship between the stocks and the PoG, i think ... and it's early in the season yet ... nothing lockstep and entirely predictable about seasonality, of course, any more than there is between shareprices and the gold price, but the general trend seems fairly clear [?] ... stocks have some catching up to do, in many cases, and company-specific events will make a lot of difference, more than in the first flush of optimism last spring, imho ..... cheers
