I just try to look at the situation as if I was in thier shoes and in a PRACTICAL way. I believe ANY ops manager would have done the same or recomended the change of dredge ops under the circumstances. Lets face it if you sample a headpan of black sands every half an hour of pumping black sands to the river bank and take it directly from hose you will know what g/t you have in your stockpile. This is normal procedure as you dont want to be pumping non gold bearing materials. It is much the same as diamond mining when you are banking a river and you want as much gravel as poss before the banks blow and fill the pit with water.
