But, as we know, most truck-types these days see there most severe duty hauling golf clubs to the country club or a case of Glenlevit home from the booze shop. Hence, the short-beds are real popular related to ease of parking - especially for Mommie.
It gets especially funny when you see the Bimmer or Merce-twits driving an "..SUV.." that requires an MSN butterfly to run alongside with a marine air horn, an umbrella and a dust-free chamois. And, "..4-wheelin'.." equals emergency service in their snowy black-topped driveway to get to the bladed-off boulevard leading to the gated community guardhouse; where they can espcape to the DOT chem-soaked Freeway.......... Life's a (w)itch in the Big City...!!
Regarding the shortbeds, you can generally get a 4x8 sheet of whatever in the bed above the wheel wells, with the tailgate down, which of course requires the "..little red flag.." routine.
They call all that rubberband-powered slanty-stuff "..trucks.." at the DMV, so "..whatchagonnado.."..!! Tee hee. I really miss my old '77 Jeep J-10 Honcho every now and then...!!!
