dmiller....what I said was that I have not been able to find anything in the USPTO patent or application databases that I thought was applicable. I've also stated that sometimes companies ask that their applications NOT to show up in the application database....

so it's quite possible....and somewhat expected... there are applications that have been submitted....but we have no means to value them....

patents from an NPE.... that don't get practiced in the industry...are just placeholders
