I dont know what is the problem about the number of the shares,

Although stock valuation and syrup are 2 totally different entities, In an easy way to explain it, if you were to buy the top brand pancake syrup, say Aunt Jemima for 3.59 for a 24 oz. bottle and diluted it with 10 ounces of water the sugar content would be worth 30% less would you still pay 3.59 a bottle? essentially, the company sells more shares into the O/S which lowers the Price valuation of the stock, just as it does with the sugar content of the syrup.

or like if you invite 10 people to a "B" day party and you cut the cake into 10 pieces, but someone post on facebook that they are having the party and 20 people show up you have to cut the cake into 20 pieces, now every one gets half a piece from the original cut, although the stock has been cut it lowers the PPS of it.
