They should be a prime acquisition candidate. How come no one has? Just askin'
Lemme take a stab at this one. Hmmmmmmm? How about for starters the fact that they don't own the hardware XATA platforms depend on. Why is this? This is why even XATA stated their technology might become obsolete. They can't roll with the punches if rules change nearly as easily as a competitor who does. Many othe benifits to owning that hardware. All that money spent on R+D and all that cash on hand and there is no hardware to be had from aquisition. Also I'd like to add that they have multiple year over year multi-million dollar losses and it does not look to be changing anytime soon. They can't make a profit. Perhaps once the price goes below a dollar some company MIGHT be willing to make a offer. Why would they now? I doubt it would be a good one. Yes they have some patents, but they are not worth the money IMHO. Especially with new rules expected with new mandates. Lastly I'd like to say that XATA just sucks! Too bad the stock has been closing @ more than 2 year lows over and over in recent weeks. Damn stock can not seem to gain any traction, and the light is now being shed on why this is the case. This should be trading in the pinks if these losses continue and stock holders continue to be in the red. Looking at the charts it seem 90% of shareholders are. Gotta love it. I think it could get very ugly and soon. Loving your commentary WB!
