I think it will be very difficult to get out of Iraq.
I am not sure what I think about this statement. On the one hand the public says it is against the war more and more everyday, they take action that supports the war. Refusal to admit mistakes such as Kerry and Dean were really hawks or stealh hawks if you prefer [ Although I am not so sure what is stealth about asking for 40,0000 more troops.] keeps supposed antiwar people so lost I wonder I seriously wonder about their ability to organize anything. I think the current set of Hawks Repub and Democrat can do whatever they want with public so dizzy and blue in the face. I think the one thing they will try and avoid like the plauge is a draft. That is the one thing I can think of that might wake people from their slumber. I could see them leaving the troops in Iraq as long as they could get away with. I could also see them yanking the troops out of Iraq as fast as the Cambodian withdrawl. This would leave a nasty civil war that would help the Bushies goals long term.
People are making a big mistake in calling Iraq a war. Iraq is only one battle or one piece on the chessboard. Even the ‘WOT’ is but a single aspect of our quest for world domination, another piece on the chessboard. That’s the problem. If they leave Iraq they will jeopardize other moves in their game.
I agree but it is balanced against keeping the public asleep and taking action that support the war. Right now the Bushies have the peaceniks doing the Bushies work for them. Hard to argue with that if you are a Bushie.
