you have to be very careful with quotes....
my experience shows that most are taken out of context....
as soon as I read this, a "flag" went up....
Kissinger is clever, crafty, slick....
he's not going to make a public statement like that....IMO
the quote to which you refer is on pg 194 of the Final days by Bob Woodward....
and, it's one of those 2nd hand, hearsay quotes......
read pages 194 & 195....
and, remember that kissinger hated alexander haig.....
we might conclude, if those were kissinger's exact words, they were aimed at haig to break his chops....in front of his subordinates.....
quite a different matter than the quote, taken in isolation, suggests....
