BUCS news out!
Business Continuity Solutions, Inc. Launches Public Sector Sales Initiative for
Disaster Recovery
Company Responds to Increased Demand From Municipalities and Other Public
Agencies After Hurricane Irene; Management Also Relays Commitment to Public
Company Advancement by Retaining The GSL Group, LLC
GRANITE FALLS, NC, Aug 31, 2011 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Business Continuity
Solutions, Inc. ("BCS") (pinksheets:BUCS) announced today the creation of a new
business unit that will focus on sales of the Company's backup and disaster
recovery systems and rugged computing products to public sector agencies and
departments throughout the U.S.
The business unit will be headed by Doug Carter, a 20-year law enforcement and
human resources veteran who joins the Company as Public Sector Account Manager.
In addition to BCS' proprietary products and services, the Company is now an
authorized reseller for Getac, one of the leading ruggedized computing solutions
suppliers in the world. BCS will offer Getac's rugged computing products across a
four-state area -- North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina and Georgia.
Getac rugged computers are designed to reliably operate in harsh usage
environments and conditions, such as strong vibrations, extreme temperatures and
wet or dusty conditions. They are uniquely designed from inception for the type
of rough use typified by these conditions, not just in the external housing but
in the internal components as well, and are used by the military, law
enforcement, emergency medical services, utility, transportation, field service
and mobile workforces.
Commenting on BCS' new initiative, CEO Ramsey Dellinger stated, "We are excited
to have Doug's expertise and commitment to an important segment like disaster
recovery solutions for the public sector. The recent hurricane has put agencies
on notice, more so than ever before. His arrival is also timely to spearhead
sales of Getac's rugged computer products, as they go hand-in-hand with our new
public agency business unit."
Melissa Payton, channel sales manager for Getac, added, "We look forward to
working closely with Doug and BCS as a Getac authorized reseller in the public
safety and other rugged vertical markets. We truly believe this relationship will
be mutually beneficial for both companies."
In other news, BCS management has also relayed its commitment to solidifying its
status as a public company. The Company has hired The GSL Group, LLC, headed by
Randy Lewis, CFA, MBA, to assist it with investor communications and public
market disclosure, the latter pertaining specifically to attaining "Current"
status on OTC Markets.
Mr. Dellinger commented, "As a relatively new public company, we are extremely
happy with what Randy and GSL bring to the table. We are committed to providing
accurate and timely information and as our business grows, we know we will need
this expertise. Randy brings over 14 years of experience working with public
companies, and his professional and educational background is paramount for us to
position ourselves for the growth we expect in the coming quarters. It also
allows for our management team to focus on company operations during this busy
time of expansion."
