Layoff happens due to many reasons...if payment was a problem then he would have laid off others instead of his secretary ..especially when Howard's tour is so close to take off!.
Layoff's also happen due to performance problems of the guys who got fired!.Its very good that Howard kept his Third eye on his troops!. That shows ..He is watching every move of everything and everybody within his company without people knowing about it!...I Like that!!. This is more critical to Howard before the marketing blitz and the Doctor's tour in 20 states!!.The success of the product reaching market is also helped by efficient staff who can give their very best to the company which is set to rock the market 8 months from now!.
My observation is Howard does not make/like mistakes..either by himself or by any in his company..this i think would be costly later if not addressed now!.what happened ..happened for the best!.Good for the company and us!.
