The big difference between DNDN's autologous vaccine technology and that of AGEN and CEGE is that the latter two have to extract tumor cells from each patient, CEGE through actual tumor resection surgery in which several patients died on the operating table. DNDN's is a simple leukapherisis procedure, in which the patient sits down while blood is drawn and the dendritic cells are separated. It takes an hour or two, and the patient then walks out of the health center, only to come back in two or three days and receive his own dendritic cells plus the antigen cassette in another procedure.
