If I were a high profile public figure and I had a bunch of idiots calling me and giving me false information about a company I was planning to support, I'd probably back out too. That's what happened and any other reasons given are B.S., IMO.

Deal on the merits of the company, not on the hopes or fears of the inexperienced.
