HARDHANDS, I think the long-term testing is mostly a result of scepticism by potential buyers of this revolutionary new machine. The KDS is touted to be able to do so many great things that it is hard to believe... and thus more testing to overcome the scepticism. I also think that anything that is a "revolutionarly" new concept... and that is so darn simple raises questions in the mind of any company that is thinking of buying the thing. The "It's too good to be true." syndrome. The biggest question... no matter how great of a job the KDS does "up front"... is how long can it keep doing the great job(s). If you want to talk about testing... think about the testing of new airliners or fighter jets... it never ends.
