.........It doesn't matter now, does it? republicans via grover norquist signed a pledge promising NO TAX HIKES ..ever. Every deal was dead due to that condition... and that is exactly why the 'deal' that was passed made it ....As it had no new revenues in it, with only a 'hint' of possible tax increases, (MAYBE,) some time in the future. The S & P didn't like that .....that's o..k. because NOW TAX HIKES are coming!

.......and medicare, medicaid, veterans entitlements will all be cut. Obama and Bachmann already offered them . .
