You may want to change your moving averages on longer term charts from 50 and 200 that you would use on a daily chart to a smaller duration. When you have a weekly chart you have weekly moving averages. A monthly chart has monthly moving averages. If you get the right duration you will often find that the correct moving average does indeed serve as support or resistance.
