our timeline is HDI/NAK
What timeline is HDI/NAK?--The Big Chunk?...very likely. Arizona??...how do you know? What's HDI's control over Arizona?...and again, how do you know?
NOBODY likes the developement stage of a JUNIOR EXPLORATION MINING COMPANY at the time they are in transition
I don't mind watching the development stage of a jr explorer...I own quite a number, and rather enjoy watching a good mgmt team skillfully develop their properties...esp. mgmt that is transparent with shareholders about plans, changes in plans, progress, problems, whatever. It's a tough industry. Things happen (or don't)...but communication about them is SOP for a good jr in my book, and is simply dpdt on mgmt's ability and desire to keep shareholders informed.
And what "transition" are we in?? Transition from preliminary geologics to finally drilling? What do you suppose the normal timeline is for the humungous majority of successful juniors from start of preliminary investigation of a site to initial drilling? 6 years???...not hardly. So, no, this isn't the norm for jr explor. mining companies...not even close. And we still don't know how far away we are from drilling, or the timeline to drilling. This year?...this winter?...next year?? After ZTEM?...how long to ZTEM??
Are there constraints on our ability to do the ZTEM, eg, funds? I don't think we're probably fully funded to do ZTEM and a drilling program (though perhaps a very prelim drilling program). At what point do we need more funding...thru a JVP?... or thru a PP or an equity placement (the latter would kind of suck at present prices for anything put preliminary drilling)? Which would we choose?
See, these are normal and normally expected questions and concerns of shareholders of jr mining exploratory companies, not the "impatient" or those full of "anticipations" (I assume by that that you mean full of anxiety?...as only the dead or braindead have no anticipations.) These are normal process discussions that CEOs and mgmt will have with shareholders of these companies on a semi-regular basis, either thru webconferences, or letters from the CEO, or MD&A in 10Qs for instance.
You can want or expect as little as you want from the CEO and mgmt...that's your business. I have my own expectations...and I've made them known. I'd love a different style of CEO, one that communicates, keeping Briscoe as chief geologist and director and maybe VP of exploration. That's my opinion and that would be my preference. Will I get it? Don't know...probably not.
be certain that our INVESTMENT is a worthwhile one from the start
You can NEVER be certain from the start...that's why it's called "speculative." You can only look at potential and mgmt, and hope and believe that mgmt knows how to unlock that potential. Until then, it's never certain. And you're right in a way, I generally look at mgmt first and want good mgmt with a proven track record of uncovering and developing that potential to the profit of shareholders. In this case, I stuck with Briscoe b/c of the properties and b/c he continued to pay the fees on them. He's a good geologist, maybe a genius, and maybe at more than geology, but in my book, he sucks as a CEO, IMO. So far, he's proved up nothing, and the market still doesn't much even see the potential, or perhaps it's not at all convinced that he knows how to monetize it for shareholders. That's where we are at the moment. Doesn't mean he won't, but up to now, there's absolutely no track record to show that he knows how. I'd love to see him establish it...SOON!!
I hope you see LBSR succeed before your death...sheeeesh!! I hope to see LBSR succeed within the next year, or they may not get the chance if the western world's financial system comes crashing down around it, as it could at any moment.
And all just my opinions and observations on a Saturday evening. I'm hoping to hear more and more detailed information on exactly when, where, and how we go from here from this mgmt team, and again...SOON!!..jt
