Wikipedia is probably the worst possible source for technical analysis advice. Anyone can post there. Read John Murphy for the best information but, understand that John does not have all the answers either. I have recently seen risings wedges in bull markets that resulted in sharply lower prices (SIRI & COHO for example) and even one that broke out the wedge and rallied back into a double top formation and then dropped sharply in price (LAVA). I don't make this stuff up! Now if you have an example of a chart where the price dropped out of a rising wedge and then rallied back to new highs and kept on going, I'd like to see that, because I've never seen one before. All I'm saying is beware of this market because technically it looks very weak and deceptive right now.
