i think we win either way. pebble succeeds and there's a precedent set right next door that the plan is workable. pebble fails, and like you said, we become the greener alternative. this is to say nothing of BH, which would stand on its own geographically and in terms of mine planning.

let's keep in mind, just because NAK (probably) wants to be the only game in town doesn't mean anything. compared to all the mining giants in the world, they are a fart in a hurricane. all it takes is some good cores back from the lab, and the world will come running.

and when you look at china's demand for resources, and how it has growth forecast to gobble up just about all copper currently available above ground, it's really a matter of national security that pebble and its surrounding areas, get developed, and quickly. jmho.
