No one seems to have noticed that some market makers have completely vanished off this scene.
STXG, UBSS and a few others are gone now off the Ask. They never had shares to begin with but now they are being honest about it.
A 42,000 share buy and theoretically we are at AUTO's $1.48 a share Ask.
31,900 at 25 Ask from NITE = $7975.00.
5,000 at 27 Ask from PERT = $1350.00.
5,000 at 30 Ask from HDSN = $1500.00.
Anyone got $10,000 laying around to take shares purchased at under 30 cents to $1.48 each?
42,000 x $1.48 = $62,160.
In theory. Unless of course the market makers have some other tricks up their sleeves. But I believe the new FINRA rules require them to show how many shares are available at what price, unless I have read them wrongly.
Maybe it's this ridiculous simplicity - that we are so close it is insane - that makes a few frantic.
