The Democrats have too many problems to mention. At other times, their blind spots or special interests have been the bigger impediment to sensible policies. I wish he had made a stronger case [ http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2011/07/time-for-a-this-is-bullshit-speech/242404/ ] and taken a harder line -- and that he would even now be contemplating the "14th Amendment [ http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0711/60036.html ]" alternative in the national interest.
