Could be, I guess the only thing that would make me wonder about that is the low return of springers in the rivers below the dams. I haven't talked with any of my commercial troller friends so I don't know how they are doing in the open salt, I should do that. My best link to that died last winter so a little harder to make connections while they are on the fishing grounds now. Good luck on your float trip if you put it together...the silence of floating is always nice. I had a drift boat and gave it to a buddy for repairs and it got stolen, I have a 16' alumaweld sled with a 115 pump on it....scoots very good. I gave it to another friend to use so now I have to make an appointment to use my boat, got tired of watching it wither from lack of use. LOL
