I have always been fascinated as to who Deep Throat was. recently Bradlee had come out that he was in failing health and I suspected that it might have been Gerald Ford then VP. I was close. It turns out to be an "insider" who was outside Nixon's sphere of influence.

Felt now will be remembered not only for leaking the Watergate story and Nixon's absolute corruption and abuse of power but for giving rise to investigative reporting and the protection of confidential sources. Something that recently the Justice Department is sadly abusing on all fronts.
