zeev, i would agree if comparing dec. to jan. highs in respective periods. however, what i was looking at was the relationship post 12/31 thru the first "full" week of the new year. not necessarilly saying it is empirically correct or accurate; just an observation and interest in seeing if once the big money returns from holiday they react similarly to last year on a percentile basis.
