Meeting among FMs of China, Russia, India "important"

BEIJING, May 31 (Xinhuanet) -- The informal meeting of foreign ministers from China, Russia and India, due to be held in Vladivostok, a city in Russia, on June 2, is an important meeting,said Kong Quan, spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry here Tuesday during a regular press conference.
Kong said China and Russia, China and India, and Russia and India have maintained sound bilateral relations and cooperation. The three nations have shared similar view on pushing forward democracy in international relations as well as safeguarding world peace and stability.
The three nations also have similar concerns, Kong acknowledged.The foreign ministers' meeting will help promote mutual understanding, increase contacts and coordinate the positions of the three nations on major international issues and, therefore, it is of great importance in maintaining world peace and stability and accomplishing common development.
During the upcoming meeting, the three foreign ministers will also confer on cooperation and consultations between the three nations in all spheres, as well as on current major international and regional issues, the spokesman said. Enditem
