I don't think its that hard to comprehend, I think Kenney is clearly stating that it cost SNP $300 million to drill the first phase, ERHC didn't pay anything, ERHC has 17% of the 3 blocks and would have been responsible for $51 million of that $300 million. If SNP decides to drill another 5 wells and spend another $300 million in the future, its worth another $51 million to ERHC that ERHC wouldn't have to pay for, sure eventually it would come out of ERHC's cost oil, but I'll worry about them finding oil first.
