We can’t tell from the PR you cited whether TMC649128 is a nucleoside or a nucleotide because the word, nucleoside can be used to refer to both kinds of compounds

Since the drug was in the clinic I thought the company would be more specific. I checked their website and they refer to TMC649128 as a nucleoside/nucleotide compound so my guess is they are working on the latter.
