To avoid getting crushed, ACHN will need some help from sources beyond its control.

They could really use some kind of safety signal in one of the VRUS trials, be it the combo trial with BMY or JNJ/Tibotec or one of their own dual nuke trials. Might be their best hope and possibly only hope if the VRUS nukes are unavailable to ACHN for future combo treatment.

FWIW, I recall Kishbauch making comments in a recent presentation, in discussing the pros and cons of partnering now versus later, about not wanting to be left behind. Perhaps that is indeed what is happening given the VRUS collaboration deals with BMY and JNJ. All told, I think I'm growing a bit bearish on ACHN (though I wish I'd sold at $8 as opposed to $5 lol) and may only seriously consider them again if one of the VRUS trials does have some sort of safety signal. That's unless VRUS intends to use their bargaining power to remain independent and just sign a bunch of non-exclusive licensing deals. I guess they could go that route.
