Glenn Henry was affiliated with IDT and not Cyrix. The IDT Centaur chip was a low end chip, but never achieved any significant volume, and the Centaur assets were acquired for a song by VIA.

It remains to be seen if this Centrino competitor will gain any significanr market share. It is not clear how the VIA platform performs when compared to the Centrino platform.
