I have to agree. All signs point to a battle between Viacom and TWC. Having been involved in a similar situation with a previous company I worked for, it does make sense that they MAY be waiting to see what "happens" to Viacom so they can redirect their focus or strategy so "it" doesn't happen to them too. Like if two buddies are drunk and one night they decide to challenge each other to jump off a bridge into some water below. They SWEAR they will both go on the count of 3. Right when 3 is counted, there's hesitation, some pretend leaping, to try and see if the other dude actually WILL go, each guy wants the other to go first to see what will happen. Will he splat and die? drown? Or will it be fun? Doesn't matter who gets in the water first, the end result will be sink or swim and there's enough water for them both to have fun.
I REALLY think that if Viacom is comitted to a G/L channel, obviously from doing their research and acknowledging there is MAJOR dough to be made, then another behemoth, like TWC, is gonna wanna stake it's claim as well.
