As a business strategy, one may consider the "corporate "assets" in three groups, people, technologies and markets (customer ase, assuming cash is not a "hindrance"). A wise expansion strategy is to always keep two feet on the ground. I proposed two different expansion strategy, one that goes into new technologies for their existing customer, the other that use their unique technology to capture a completely new universe of customers.
