The folks at Daily Reckoning have certainly been bullish on gold for some time, but they can overdo the enthusiasm at times. For instance, did the author offer any statistics to indicate the likelihood of 1% of the Chinese population being able to buy gold? Or did he cite any worldwide statistics showing gold ownership percentages by country?
In other words, was he blowing smoke, just smoking something, or actually onto something possible? I don't know the answers, but I'll look around for those stats.
