Ditto. I thought I learned how to trade on the Monkula signals, but weeks of paper trading later I concluded that I was following the rules right, but the rules weren't worth a damn. I spoke to a couple of the old-hands in the Coven and learned that the methods and signals change from Monkinar to Monkinar. That was bothersome.
But, it did motivate me to learn. Figured out a lot on my own and am plugging away better than I had hoped. Not rich, but I see it as a part of my income if not all eventually. I did also meet some great people.
The real trick is to make sure all of my bills are paid, savings are funded, treat the wife to an occassional date night, then worry about adding money to any trading accounts. That has really helped me emotionally. I focused way too much last year on the FLDs and we went without a lot of fun so I could buy shares.
