Well the North Korean have gone mad, the Irqis are putting up a good media case to convince people that they have no weapons, Germany is in recsssion, the EU looks set to follow, Japans economy has never recovered and is heading south still, Venezuela imports gasoline, Argentina has ceased to exist as an economy, Brazil is not far away.....

The Us has a new Treasury Secretary who looks like a somehwat less successful individual than the last one...and the US economic numbers look like they are getting worse. Finally it seems that the consumer has faltered and is retrenching. It would have made little difference even if consumers had maintained their spending as they have for over three years.
