How do we pull in quality posters to this place, Will? ...

I saw you ask that over at my 'home base' a few hours ago, but I'll answer it here.

I don't know. This has always been predominately a USAian site, and there hasn't been much interest in Canadian issues. That's curious, in my mind, as most of the good junior hunters are Canadian, and most of the junky or seamy ones appear to be to have just OTCBB standing. Some of the latter have been good for a hoot or three, and I find it truly amazing that they actually develop a following. i wonder if its real, or just on-line promotion.

One of the stocks I have followed for more than a decade is Aber, of course, and it has always had a Nasdaq listing, ABERF. There have been many instacces I've noted throughout thae past decade when a buyer of ABERF would have been far better off to have bought ABZ in Toronto. The volumes in Toronto are far greater than those in the U.S., and I don't think that's unique.

Then there are some of the juniors that have another outcome.
Take Caledonia. It has traded 11,197,821 shares in December in Canada, and just under 40 million shares on the OTCBB in the United States.

...and, should the bb stuff be here, or on a separate thread?

Is it possible or even desirable to come up with such a rule? You are trying to avoid much of the crap that surrounds some of the ....umm.... more tenuous explorers, which often trade well south of a nickel. At that point, I hesitate to consider them seriously, depending on their shares outstanding. There has to be the viable means to explore.

What you probably want to have here are quality discussions, and quality stocks are not necessarily the way to do that. Is anyone having a serious discussion of Noranda these days? wink Of course, there aren't many quality discussions about [enter name of your most reviled pinkie here] either, I guess.

So...

There are more questions than answers, I fear.

The only answer I ever found, back in early 1999, was just start talking away, oblivious to whether anyone was actually listening. Turned out, there were. That probalby would work well here as well.

Regards,

WillP
