A CentCom official told United Press International that in the event of a real military strikes, U.S. military forces would be using jamming, deception, and physical attack of Iran's sensors and its Command, Control and Intelligence (C3 systems).
If so they will be doing it without GPS data. The Russians jammed the GPS systems when we were dropping bombs on Bahgdad. Their relationship with Iran is a lot better with more economic ties than Iraq. Are we to believe that Moscow is not going to help Iran jam our guidance systems? If we do attack Iran the real war starts IMO. Iraq was a gambit pawn. One that work well. Whoever we attack we do it massively overextended with a growing insurgency in Iraq that will no doubt redouble their efforts. Not to mention a draft will cause a lot more fuss here now than before we invaded Iraq. We had a no fly zone over Iraq for years before we invaded. I suspect this is more sabre rattlin. Time will tell. It is also good press for the Iranians and the insurgency. I doubt it is slowing down recruiting for the insurgency.
