you will not get dividend for shares bought today. Scottrade does follow T+3,i have recieved dividends according to that rule before, i had shares, sold half the day after T+3 and sold the 2nd half the day after that(meaning i owned 0 shares on day of record), i got dividend as if i was being credited for ALL of my shares, no half or 0.

I'll be here if something different happens. Scottrade people are worthless
